Education
I attended SUNY Cortland as an undergraduate student from 2006-2010. I had a dual major in adolescent education in social studies and history. I graduated with a 3.75 GPA. I am currently completing my Masters of Science in Literacy at Touro College. I will be certified from birth-12th grade in April. I currently have a 3.95 GPA.
Experience
I was a student instructor for Psychology101 for four semesters at Cortland. My responsibilites in this position included one-on-one and group tutoring, holding review sessions before exams, and creating all my own notes, materials, and study guides. I am currently working as a substitute teacher for the Middle Country Central School District. I have experience subbing at both the elementary and secondary level, in general education and special education classrooms. I have helped run the district's regents review sessions for both the global studies and American history regents. I home-school middle school students in my idstrict who get suspended or cannot attend school due to illness or injury. I am required to complete 120 hours of reading tutoring for my masters. I am finisihing up my first sixty hours now. I tutored a 1st grade boy from North Coleman elementary. I will be working with middle school students next semester.
